A Future For Every Sinner

The world may condemn, Gossip and accuse you, For each  m istake, And every wrong turn. Learning through mistakes, Is what life is all about, (In theory) But many of us, Aren't given that learning chance. Every mistake,  Be it our fault or not, Feels like the end of the world, When it is actually a new beginning. All wrongs are pardonable, Whatever happened in the past, Shouldn't stop you from becoming, A  b etter person you can be. The social stigma, Can be overpowering, But remember your eternal  F ather, Is always there with you, through it all.  Jesus will never accuse nor condemn   you, because He has been through it all and feels your pain. He is a father who stays close even when we mess up. So in the midst of all the chaotic accusations, look up to the one who has chosen you when you were still a sinner.

Gates Of The Heart

I recently came across a house with one of its gates opening inwards and the other opening outwards. Usually gates open in one direction and closes in the opposite direction. I just smiled at the unusual gate, but it really got me thinking.               Everyone has a gate to their heart, some keep it locked with iron locks, others leave it slightly open, but only a few keep it wide open. Those who keep it locked fast, think its for their own good, and feel like the Romantic poets who lost their faith in humanity after the french revolution's blood bath. Broken trust, can tear up relationships but forgiveness is the glue that patches up the torn pieces and makes them whole again, and this time stronger than before.  Those who leave the gate slightly open, have been hurt in the past, still have their reservations but have a string of hope to believe in the good, and wish to...

Raised From Dust

Tough at the crust, Soft at the core, Acting as though, We've achieved everything, With our bare hands, Forgetting we were, Raised from nothing but dust. Everything is a blessing, From our first breath, Till our very death, But instead of thanking Him, We walk around filled with pride, Forgetting we were, Raised from nothing but dust. Aiming to be legends, Someone the world will recall, But all it takes is a fall, To realize, How worthless it all is, Remembering we were, Raised from nothing but dust. Race after what's worthwhile, As our time here is short, Encourage and support, Care and forgive, Remembering we were, Raised from nothing but dust, And soon we'll return. Many a times we forget that the purpose of our life is to do God's will and run after worthless things. We also forget that each and everything in our lives is a blessing. One's pride only leads them  to their downfall, so let's be humble and strive to be selfless.

Life is valuable

When the worst storm hits you, You may fall to the ground Almost dead, But you die, Only if you don't try to get back up. When the world squeezes, Or pushes you against a wall, Suffocating you, Take a deep breath, And push back with everything you've got. A failed exam, getting fired, Loss of someone you love, Can all feel like 'the end', Of all hope in life, But it is, in reality, a new beginning. Your life is valuable, Nobody's words or actions, Can ever change that. The past doesn't define you, Let it go. Your life is a gift from God. He wants you to to live to your fullest potential and no one, not even you, yourself have the right to take it. Remember you are a precious pink diamond, and whatever dirt may cover you today, it can be washed off and you can shine once again. Forget the past, live in the present, and let tomorrow, worry about the future.

Hidden Beauty

A coal black stone, Sat all alone, In a corner, Scared of being, Seen or known. It never came out, Ashamed to face the others, The shiny pebbles, Who were oft chosen, But the black one was kicked around. One fine morning, A man came by, Parting all the pebbles, To find the one, Hiding in the dark. The scared black stone, Shivered in the man's grip, As it saw a shiny stone, Cut at its edges, Little by little. It was excruciating, But slowly it realized, It was changing, And finally saw itself, A rare diamond in the mirror. Many a times we feel that our looks define us, and we feel we aren't pretty enough for society's specified guidelines of beauty. Half the time this inferiority is only in our head but sometimes it is a reality for those being made fun of. But let me tell you, each person is created in the image of God. We have no right to judge others or our own self based on appearance. Whatever color, caste, creed, nationality or race you may belong to, God has a specifi...

The Unheard Words

A multitude of words, Were spoken, To cover up the one thing, That needed to be heard. The hurt and the pain, The suffering and the shame, All laying under, A mountain of words. Words once spoken, Can never be taken back, But the hurt once felt, Can be healed in time. Listen intently, For the unheard words, Decipher it, To make a difference. The unheard words, May not always be pleasant, But listening to them, Can bring relief and change your world.          In this technological world we may use an abundance of words (via text, social media etc.) , but we often leave out words we don't want others to hear. It can be a part of our life we wished someone saw and tried to fix, yet are too scared to let anyone in. Jesus is an unseen listener to every conversation, and he listens even when you talk to yourself. Let Him into your life and you will be amazed to see how He responds to your unheard words.             ...

Living Sacrifice

Worship in today's world is synonymous with singing and glorifying the name of God, praising Him with hymns and prayer. We may do that every Sunday at church, but what about the rest of the days of the week? What exactly is true worship?  Romans 12:1 says, " I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship."  Worship is not just a weekly or one-time thing. We need to praise God for everything. How do we become  a living sacrifice?  By doing all our daily routines for Him, thinking about Him throughout the day. Remind yourself that He is always watching you, watching over you. If you have any trouble pray and ask God for a solution and He will get back to you sooner than you think.  But a living sacrifice should be without blemish. Well, we humans, sin from time to time. All we need to do is  immediately ask God for forgiveness and He will cle...
