Tough at the crust,
Soft at the core,
Acting as though,
We've achieved everything,
With our bare hands,
Forgetting we were,
Raised from nothing but dust.
Everything is a blessing,
From our first breath,
Till our very death,
But instead of thanking Him,
We walk around filled with pride,
Forgetting we were,
Raised from nothing but dust.
Aiming to be legends,
Someone the world will recall,
But all it takes is a fall,
To realize,
How worthless it all is,
Remembering we were,
Raised from nothing but dust.
Race after what's worthwhile,
As our time here is short,
Encourage and support,
Care and forgive,
Remembering we were,
Raised from nothing but dust,
And soon we'll return.
Many a times we forget that the purpose of our life is to do God's will and run after worthless things. We also forget that each and everything in our lives is a blessing. One's pride only leads them to their downfall, so let's be humble and strive to be selfless.
