When God Surprises Us with More Than We Ask For

            Can a doctor's appointment be a source of joy and nostalgia? For me, it certainly was when I visited my ENT doctor. I had been experiencing a persistent throat ache and had developed my own theories about "what might be wrong". I tried to calm my worries with God's Word. As I entered the doctor's room, memories from my childhood flooded my mind. It had been ages since I last went to that particular clinic. The ENT doctor is the exact embodiment of a Jolly Good Fellow, and it was lovely to see him again.                I explained my symptoms to the doctor, and he quickly examined me with his torch and eyeglasses. He diagnosed the issue and treated it promptly. Out of habit, he also checked my ears and nose, declaring everything clean.
