I was complaining about the cold last year and my host father told me about this German quote " es gibt kein schlechtes Wetter, nur falsche Kleidung" that translates to "There is no such thing as bad weather only bad clothing." Then I researched and found out that the original was a Norwegian quote " Det finnes ikke dårlig vær, bare dårlig klær! " The quote in itself just talks about the right clothing for the right weather but this got me thinking as to how this aptly describes my spiritual life as well. When the storms of life hit me, I was not ready for it. Till date, I still complain not knowing that I'm not wearing the right clothing to face that weather. Am I equipping myself with the word of God on a regular basis? Do I turn to Jesus first when things go wrong or do I rely on my wisdom, or on google to help me out?
