I'm Fine

'I'm fine' is one of the most misunderstood and overused phrases in English. It's become a habitual answer to anything that actually relates to personal feelings or life in general. If we actually give it a thought, that phrase is also one of the most common lie we tell on a daily basis.                             It's true that we can't always burden all who ask the question 'How are you?' with our problems. But life has been hard this season and covering up the hurt with pretty lies can only bring you harm. 'I'm fine' can also be true, but that also means you aren't at your best. You don't find life fulfilling or you feel you have no purpose, no goals, like a boat adrift on the pacific ocean. God wants you to live the best version of your life. He wants you to live a royal life. That doesn't mean big cars, fancy...

God.... Still.... Listens....

Do you ever feel God doesn't hear your prayers?                 In recent times my faith was tested, but somewhere deep in my heart I knew, God was listening, although my patience was wearing thin. Then I heard a song called 'You've always been' by the band Unspoken. As I was listening to that song, I heard the lines 'problems big as planets turn to pebbles when you speak'. It was a very innovative line in comparison to the cliche line 'God moves mountains' and so I thought about it and ended up believing it. The more I believed it the sooner God actually proved it to be true.                                                For a long while I've been anxious about what the future would hold. But when God started answering my prayers all my worries didn't run away as I hoped it would. But with every ti...

The Open Door Prison

Chains of guilt, worry and fear, Hold us back, From blessings and grace, That overflow from God's hand. But who chained us, Was it the devil? No, he didn't, We just chained ourselves. "How?" I ask myself,  With just a few words, "Will God forgive me?" "I've sinned repeatedly." That's enough for the devil, To build a prison, All around us, Sometimes even fortifying it. I plead for forgiveness, Surrendering everything into God's hands, And He opened my eyes and I saw, I was in a prison with open doors.                    Many a time, we find ourselves in prisons inside our head. We try so hard to get out of it, through all ways humanly possible. But let me tell you, with our own strength we can do nothing. Surrender it all into God's hands and he will open your eyes to see that all along you were in an open door'd prison. God is waiting for you to leave that prison of fear, failure, addiction, worldly pleasures or whatever it may ...

A Positive Outlook On Death

Death is most often associated with gloom, sadness, and loss. But the death of a christian must never be seen as a loss. I say so because God's word says"Precious in the eyes of Lord Jehovah is the death of His righteous people." [Psalms: 116:15] . God sees death as a sort of homecoming. He is like a father waiting for his children to return home.                               As mere humans, a loved one's death, creates a void in their family and friends' life but that void can only be filled if we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. It takes time to heal, yes, but remember our life on this planet is seemingly short, when we compare it to eternity we have in heaven. We must also not grieve as others who have no hope because according to the Bible, God will bring with Jesus those who passed away before. [I Thes...

Grace and Cascades

Grace and cascades, Never cease to flow, Rejuvenating the heart, Parched by worldly misery and sorrow. They give a rebirth, To the spiritually dying soul, Cleansing all the sin and dirt, Making it white as snow. They never fail to astound, The avid wanderer, In search of purpose, Or a new look on life. They flow from God's hand, And just a drop will suffice, To save the vilest sinner, As He has already paid the price. II Cor:12:9 says  “My grace  is sufficient for you, for my power  is made perfect in weakness. ” God bless you, as you take each step living in the shadow of His never ceasing grace.

Truth & Lies

A lie is like poison, Whatever color it may be, White, black or crimson, It will still kill thee, And hurt the other person. Lies are like arrows, They fly around at every battle, You may use it to protect yourself from foes, Not knowing another can nettle You at any moment. Lies can save you today, And perhaps even tomorrow, But the guilt will always stay, Filling you with unseen sorrow, To the brim of your soul. Truth is the antidote, Even if you feel doomed, And arrows seem to strike your throat , It can cure the deepest of wounds, Even if it scars the surface.                              The truth and the truth alone will set you free. Lies have become habitual in our lives in the 21st century but we can change it, taking one step at a time. Pray for each other, as lies are the root cause for brokenness and many social problems. Don't overthink about the circumstances of revealing certain truths because our ...

DON'T Follow your heart

'Follow your heart's desire' is a cliche which is usually used to bring clarity to a confused person but in reality is it actually so? Is following your heart, the  elixir of life ?                                                   Following your heart's desires,  according to me is like plunging into the sea,  not knowing how to swim, o r having any protective gear. The reason I say this is because the heart is like a wind wandering off with the whimsical fantasies of this world. Your heart may give you the motivation to do something you really love but it does not mean that it is always the right thing to do.                                 The heart like ...
