Truth & Lies

A lie is like poison, Whatever color it may be, White, black or crimson, It will still kill thee, And hurt the other person. Lies are like arrows, They fly around at every battle, You may use it to protect yourself from foes, Not knowing another can nettle You at any moment. Lies can save you today, And perhaps even tomorrow, But the guilt will always stay, Filling you with unseen sorrow, To the brim of your soul. Truth is the antidote, Even if you feel doomed, And arrows seem to strike your throat , It can cure the deepest of wounds, Even if it scars the surface.                              The truth and the truth alone will set you free. Lies have become habitual in our lives in the 21st century but we can change it, taking one step at a time. Pray for each other, as lies are the root cause for brokenness and many social problems. Don't overthink about the circumstances of revealing certain truths because our ...

DON'T Follow your heart

'Follow your heart's desire' is a cliche which is usually used to bring clarity to a confused person but in reality is it actually so? Is following your heart, the  elixir of life ?                                                   Following your heart's desires,  according to me is like plunging into the sea,  not knowing how to swim, o r having any protective gear. The reason I say this is because the heart is like a wind wandering off with the whimsical fantasies of this world. Your heart may give you the motivation to do something you really love but it does not mean that it is always the right thing to do.                                 The heart like ...

The Fire of Fear

The fire of fear, Starts with a tiny spark, With fuel in the air, It consumes everything, In its path. It never traverses alone, As wherever it goes,  Destruction and chaos, Panic and anxiety, Are sure to follow. The fire of fear, Kills the soul, By suffocating it, Sucking the air, Of happiness, trust and joy. But even an inferno, Can be put out. The fire of fear, Can also die out, In a deluge of hope and love. The pandemic of fear is greater than the current pandemic. But guess what we have a God who is mightier than any pandemic and He loves you.  1 John 4:18 says "Perfect love c asts out every fear". Check out these verses that will help you to put out any 'Fire of fear'.  https://www.ibelieve.com/faith/bible-verses-to-overcome-fear.html

Trust Him Always

Sorrow is spreading, Her dark cloak across the globe, Covering every source of joy, From the heart of man. Fear and panic, Strikes each soul, Spreading like a wildfire, Burning down the mighty forest of man. "What is happening?" I asked the Lord in despair, And then He said,   "Do not fear, for I am with you." Then I looked up and saw, A beacon of light, Radiant as day, In the dark gloomy sky. Then He spoke to me, Through His servant saying

The Mask

The government has made masks compulsory to prevent the spread of the disease, but many of us have been wearing masks for a much longer period. These masks are invisible. We wear it every morning and take it off only when we go to bed. Many of us might take it off at home where we can be ourselves, but it's often removed only partially. They say 'the face is the index of the mind', but with this mask all feelings are locked up and kept hidden. Emotions are hidden behind this great pretense of a mask for various reasons. Showing your true self to the world is hardly an option anymore. These masks can either be      i) A happy mask                                  ii) No expression/Neutral mask                         ...

A Lyrical Life

Life is an unsung song which will sometimes sound like a major chord (happy) and at other times, a minor chord(sad). The major chords and minor chords in a song is what makes a song sound beautiful. In the same way life has its happy and sad moments. The sad moments in life help us savour the beauty of the happy ones.                                I was always told that I had to be the lyricist of my own song, the author of my own life and I lived my life like that for a long time. But I soon came to realiz e that I was totally wrong. When I tried hard at writing the song, there was always something missing. When I tried to sing it, it sounded like I was singing off-key. When I was on the verge of giving up, I realized I ne...

Quarantine

Secluded, all alone, Within these four walls, With no one to say 'Hello' to, And no one to say 'Goodbye'. Trying to stay calm, In the midst of this chaos, Just wishing it would pass, Like any other storm. I looked around, And all I saw was, Heartache, anguish, And utter gloom. Fear gripped me, As everything seemed to fall apart, Suddenly, I remembered, I could do only one thing. I knelt down, And surrendered everyt hing to God, And He turned my despair, Into unspeaka ble joy. I felt happiness envelope me, And expected everything to change, Back to the way it was, But I was utterly wrong. Then He o pened my eyes, And I saw the world, In the palm of His hands, And He reminded me He was in control.
