Secluded, all alone,
Within these four walls,
With no one to say 'Hello' to,
And no one to say 'Goodbye'.
Trying to stay calm,
In the midst of this chaos,
Just wishing it would pass,
Like any other storm.
I looked around,
And all I saw was,
Heartache, anguish,
And utter gloom.
Fear gripped me,
As everything seemed to fall apart,
Suddenly, I remembered,
I could do only one thing.
I knelt down,
And surrendered everything to God,
And He turned my despair,
Into unspeakable joy.
I felt happiness envelope me,
And expected everything to change,
Back to the way it was,
But I was utterly wrong.
Then He opened my eyes,
And I saw the world,
In the palm of His hands,
And He reminded me He was in control.
