Our Will or God's Will?

We the superior species of the planet always have this sort of tipping pride that we know what we are doing and where we are heading, and we don’t need anyone’s advice or help. But the truth we hardly admit to ourselves is that we are clueless about our purpose, or why we are doing, what we are doing. Admitting the truth is hard, as it chips off a portion of our ego that we strive hard to hold onto. God has put us into a world full of a diversity of people to help us in our great journey of life. He knows we can’t do anything on our own, even though we don’t usually see that part of ourselves unless we are sick or hurting.

Each person on planet Earth is born with a purpose and is part of God’s greater plan. People tell us to create our own niche, draw out a unique path for our life, become successful and so on. But who takes the decisions in our life, is it us, is it our parents or our peers? Or do we form the majority of people who take all the decisions by themselves and then instruct God, to bless the decisions we have made. God, being a gracious and merciful Father, has given us the gift of choice. When we make the wrong choice and suffer the consequences, God does not rub it into our face, saying “I told you so.” Instead He lifts us up from that pit and makes us stand on solid ground. When we are back up, steady enough to stand, we must make sure not to forget the one who lifted us up as it is easy to forget and go through the cycle all over again.

But once we tap into God’s will it is a different experience all together. Walking alongside the Creator of the universe, doing what He wants us to do, knowing fully well that, what we are doing, is not only for our own good, but for the redemption of the human race. Jesus died on the cross for our sins, he paid a huge price for the redemption of our souls. Let’s not waste our time following our own whims and desires. Let’s live a life side-by-side with the one who’s been watching over us from when we were in our mother’s womb.

Waiting on the Lord: From Restlessness to Rest

Isaiah 40:31 "But those who wait  on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not be faint."           Patience is a great virtue, but it has never been my cup of tea. I have always struggled to sit still or remain idle, which made it especially difficult for me to truly surrender everything into God’s control. Yet, when faced with important life choices and uncertainty about how to move forward, I realized that the Lord, who created heaven and earth, is a far better planner than I could ever be. He knows each of my days before even one comes to pass, so why not entrust my life into His capable hands?           With this realization, I decided to wait for His direction, understanding that His ways are higher than mine and that He leads us through experiences that always result in growth and learning. Waiting on the Lord, I discover...

Change Our World!

The great big Earth, Is too huge to  fathom , And its inhabitants so varied to  comprehend  . 'Change the world' is the slogan, And each blamed the world, For not changing around them. To change the world, We must first initiate it, A tiny gesture amongst our own loved ones. The whole world may be too hard, But changing how each person treats the next person, Can positively impact the world at large. Making the world a better place has been the vision for centuries. But everything happening around us discourages us to believe that something like that so phenomenal can happen to heal our broken world. Tell your loved ones, people you meet not about the flaw or wrong they've done but appreciate them for all they've done right. Pray for all the people in authority to be blessed with Godly wisdom to lead His people in the right path. And lastly find out your own passion, your purpose which can be instrumental as the church of Christ unites to change the world at large. Let...

Syncing News and Prayer

It has been nearly four years since I last picked up a newspaper, but in the past month, I decided to take up the habit once again. This return reminded me of the reasons I had initially given it up: the hurt, the hypocrisy, and the overwhelming deluge of information that often felt more like "infotainment" than actual news. Some days, the pain and suffering depicted in the articles were so overwhelming that I struggled to finish reading. I worried that I would become desensitized, reducing extraordinary tragedies to mere phrases like "it's normal" or "that's life." In moments of despair, I turned to Psalm 55:22, which says, "Cast your burden on the Lord..." and I endeavored to do just that. A Divine Perspective      The Lord is always faithful, and He gently reminded me that each article in the newspaper represents real people—individuals for whom Jesus Christ, our Savior, sacrificed His life on the cross. Each person, whether a vic...
