God.... Answers..... Prayers

I recently read this quote on twitter

And I thought that is so true, at least in my life. I was asking many people to pray for my sister to find the partner God had chosen for her, without actually praying about it myself.  I did this because there were just so many unanswered prayers piling up and everything was on the verge of tipping over. I was anxious, angry and bitter. My feelings overwhelmed me and I could do nothing but pray. I started praying earnestly not only for my needs but the needs of others as well and let me tell you God started moving in my life.
That is a cliche phrase but it is true. That day I learn't God is always listeningHis move in my life wasn't like a fast car whooshing past, it was more like watching a slow motion video. Everything that I had hoped and prayed for many years took place each in to its own time and that was perfect.
1.God doesn't hurry We keep hoping for things to happen according to our time but God does not work that way. He is a caring father who knows what is best for you, and although we may not see it at first, He will reveal His plan in our life. Like adamant children we often try to twist God's arm to fulfill our whims and fancies, and He sometimes fulfills it, but only later do we realize that it was not the best but only second best. When God revealed the one He had chosen for my sister, He fulfilled even the most insignificant wish buried in her heart.
2. Focus on God, not your problems Psalms 37:4 says "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart" Walk according to His ways and in His time your prayers will be answered. Tell your problems how great a God we have and not the other way around. When I applied this principle in my life the troubles just melted away, without a trace. I had been anxious for no reason.
3. Praying in agreement: Asking others to pray for you can be a real support, but go to God in prayer about it first because like earthly fathers he does not want to hear about your problems from your friend, he wants to hear it from your lips. After praying by yourself pray in agreement with fellow believers for that one cause. When you feel you can't pray because of whatever reason that is holding you back, ask, just ask someone to pray for you.
4. Want for His will to be done: Express your wishes in accordance to the Bible- His word and ask earnestly for His will to be done in your life.
5. Put others need above your own: Even Jesus prayed for His disciples and sacrificed His life for us so that we could be saved by His blood. Remove the 'I' factor in your life, because every breath is a gift of God, nothing is actually yours.
And finally when He answers your prayer even if its not the way you hoped it would be His peace and love will flow.
Prayer is just a conversation. Speak to Him freely as though He is your dear friend. Disclose the darkest secrets of your life to Him, because He, only He, sees the real you. He feels your pain and only He can help you.

P.S All the above statements are not superficial statements. They are life lessons that I've learnt with my walk with God. Everyday is a new learning for me as well. If you are that someone who can't pray or are in need of prayer just send your request to praying4youspecially@gmail.com and I shall pray for you.

Waiting on the Lord: From Restlessness to Rest

Isaiah 40:31 "But those who wait  on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not be faint."           Patience is a great virtue, but it has never been my cup of tea. I have always struggled to sit still or remain idle, which made it especially difficult for me to truly surrender everything into God’s control. Yet, when faced with important life choices and uncertainty about how to move forward, I realized that the Lord, who created heaven and earth, is a far better planner than I could ever be. He knows each of my days before even one comes to pass, so why not entrust my life into His capable hands?           With this realization, I decided to wait for His direction, understanding that His ways are higher than mine and that He leads us through experiences that always result in growth and learning. Waiting on the Lord, I discover...

Change Our World!

The great big Earth, Is too huge to  fathom , And its inhabitants so varied to  comprehend  . 'Change the world' is the slogan, And each blamed the world, For not changing around them. To change the world, We must first initiate it, A tiny gesture amongst our own loved ones. The whole world may be too hard, But changing how each person treats the next person, Can positively impact the world at large. Making the world a better place has been the vision for centuries. But everything happening around us discourages us to believe that something like that so phenomenal can happen to heal our broken world. Tell your loved ones, people you meet not about the flaw or wrong they've done but appreciate them for all they've done right. Pray for all the people in authority to be blessed with Godly wisdom to lead His people in the right path. And lastly find out your own passion, your purpose which can be instrumental as the church of Christ unites to change the world at large. Let...

Syncing News and Prayer

It has been nearly four years since I last picked up a newspaper, but in the past month, I decided to take up the habit once again. This return reminded me of the reasons I had initially given it up: the hurt, the hypocrisy, and the overwhelming deluge of information that often felt more like "infotainment" than actual news. Some days, the pain and suffering depicted in the articles were so overwhelming that I struggled to finish reading. I worried that I would become desensitized, reducing extraordinary tragedies to mere phrases like "it's normal" or "that's life." In moments of despair, I turned to Psalm 55:22, which says, "Cast your burden on the Lord..." and I endeavored to do just that. A Divine Perspective      The Lord is always faithful, and He gently reminded me that each article in the newspaper represents real people—individuals for whom Jesus Christ, our Savior, sacrificed His life on the cross. Each person, whether a vic...
